Thermistor for Dometic Portable Fridge CF18-60 - Thermister

This product is on order with our supplier (if no add to cart button is available, then we are not confident of the suppliers delivery date)

Thermistor CF18-60 - Genuine Waeco / Dometic part

if your fridge is displaying unusually large numbers and is freezing everything then your thermister may be at fault. Firstly check that the emergency switch is not active as this switch bypasses the control board and supplies power direct - if this is in correct position and you have large numbers on the digital read out like '60" then try the thermister as it is more likely then the actual control board.

Suitable for CF18, CF25, CF35, CF40, CF50, CF60 and CDF range.

Suitable for CF-18, CF-25, CF-35, CF-40, CF-50 and CF-60.

See our other listings for the thermister with the "thermal paste" required to fit this correctly.

Thermistor Replacement.

This part arrived swiftly and proved to be a direct replacement for the failed thermistor in my Waeco CF60, so no dramas there. That part actually failed in my first CF60 about 15 years ago under warranty. The repairer claimed he replaced the thermistor but after replacing this part in my CF60 realise that he simply replaced it under warranty. I can honestly say that replacing a thermistor in CF 60 is a pain, having to cut out 2 access points on the casing to remove the old part and replace with the new part because the whole thing had the insulating foam moulded around it, so it could not be simply removed and a new part installed. So yes it is a doable repair but certainly problematic and messy. My fridge is now functioning normally. The question begs, why do thermistors fail in the first place?
