This special 7-step charging process optimizes your battery's power; provides health and performance benefits; and ultimately offers a longer life. Victron Blue Smart Chargers also feature a Storage Mode which offers greater protection from positive plate corrosion than standard float mode chargers. Plus, if the battery remains connected for more than 48 hours, the charge voltage is automatically reduced to help protect against grid corrosion.
Recovery of deeply-discharged 'dead' batteries
Unlike many others, the Blue Smart IP65 Charger can rescue batteries from deep discharges with a low current force-charge. Once sufficient voltage is detected, normal charging resumes.

This battery charger comes with both alligator clips and M8 eyelets, so it's easy to set up and keep connected to your battery. Plus, you can purchase additional Quick Connects and Accessories separately too.
Check the status of your battery remotely
Check the charger and battery status w/your smartphone, tablet, or laptop—Bluetooth built-in! Use the VictronConnect app to configure charger settings; the app also enables Setup, readouts, and control of the Blue Smart IP65 Charger. Your display will show voltage and current readouts, and work for Apple and Android.
Battery Reconditioning
If a lead-acid battery isn't charged up properly or has discharged for days or weeks, sulfation can occur and reduce its performance. However, if you act quickly, sulfation can sometimes be countered by charging the battery at low current and a higher voltage.
